Fees and billing arrangements

Our clinic charges a gap fee for all consultations, with the exception of children under the age of 16. Health care card holders are offered a discounted rate or bulk billed. Please refer to our fee schedule.

Practice Services

We offer a broad range of services including

Communication / telephone policy

Time permitting, our GP may be able to take your call, but a consultation will only be interrupted if the problem is urgent. In all other cases, our reception staff will take your details and the doctor will return your call as soon as possible. All emails will be replied to in the same manner.

•    Implanon insertion and removal

•    Merina insertion and removal

 

Test results

If the doctor has asked you to undertake a test (e.g. blood, urine, scan, etc.) please make sure to book a follow up appointment to get the results 7 days later (or earlier if advised by the doctor).

Management of patient health information

Our practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your information. Please ask our staff if you would like to see our privacy policy. Personal health information of patients of our practice is not stored nor left visible in areas where members of the public have unrestricted access or where constant staff supervision is not easily provided.

 

Appointments

Please notify our reception staff if you urgently require an appointment. We will always prioritise according to our patients' needs.

 

 

Patient feedback

Walk-in appointments

Walk-in patients will be allocated the first available consultation, although you may be required to wait.

 

Patient rights

Patients have the right to, and are encouraged to participate in decisions about their health care.

Longer consultations

Longer appointments are available, and necessary under certain circumstances (such as pregnancy-related matters, mental health consults, skin checks), please advise reception staff if you require such an appointment.

 

Engaging with other services & referrals

Our practice engages with local health, community and disability services, for example specialists, allied health and hospitals. When required, our GP will provide a referral letter with sufficient information, to facilitate optimal patient care.
