Covid-19 Policy Statement March/April 2022
Safety
The safety of our patients and staff, as well as the community, is our main priority. Therefore, all staff members at our clinic are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, as per SA Health requirements. Appropriate PPE is worn to minimise risk, again following SA Health recommendations.
Unwell/Close Contact Patients
It is important we all follow SA Health guidelines, which dictates that people with any cold or flu symptoms should get tested for Covid-19. Please do not present at our clinic if this is the case; visit the SA Health website for a full list of testing sites. If you have symptoms or are a close contact, are not a new patient and have been to our clinic in the last 12 months, you may book a telehealth appointment. Most routine care can be provided in this way, e.g. prescriptions, referrals and request forms.
RAT/PCR Testing
Some patients will be asked to undertake a RAT on arrival at our clinic, regardless of whether they have already completed one at home. This test can be provided by our clinic at a cost of $15.00, or patients can bring their own. Alternatively, if a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours is available, this would be accepted.
If you are unsure about when and how to get tested, and for information on RAT and PCR testing, please visit the SA Health website.
Always call 000 in an emergency, for example chest pain or difficulty breathing.
Thank you for your cooperation through this challenging time. Your patience with our staff is much appreciated as they are under increased pressure during this period.
