Fees and billing arrangements
Our clinic charges a gap fee for all consultations, with the exception of children under the age of 16. Health care card holders are offered a discounted rate or bulk billed. Please refer to our fee schedule.
In case of our doctor completing a referral or requesting investigations through an outside service, there may be costs involved and it is the patient's responsibility to determine this.
Communication / telephone policy
Time permitting, our GP may be able to take your call, but a consultation will only be interrupted if the problem is urgent. In all other cases, our reception staff will take your details and the doctor will return your call as soon as possible. All emails will be replied to in the same manner.
Test results
If the doctor has asked you to undertake a test (e.g. blood, urine, scan, etc.) please make sure to book a follow up appointment to get the results 7 days later (or earlier if advised by the doctor).
Management of patient health information
Our practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your information. Please ask our staff if you would like to see our privacy policy. Personal health information of patients of our practice is not stored nor left visible in areas where members of the public have unrestricted access or where constant staff supervision is not easily provided.
Patient feedback
Please talk to our reception staff if you have any suggestions or are unhappy with the service we have provided. Alternatively, you might prefer to contact the Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner (HCSCC) on (08) 8226 8666 or 1800 232 007 or at http://www.hcscc.sa.gov.au/.
Engaging with other services & referrals
Our practice engages with local health, community and disability services, for example specialists, allied health and hospitals. When required, our GP will provide a referral letter with sufficient information, to facilitate optimal patient care. Please be advised other services you are referred to may charge a fee and it is up to the patient to check with the other party whether this is the case and if so how much the fee is.
